Rangers Appoint ILC Media for New DVD Deal

Scottish Premier League side and UEFA Cup finalists Rangers FC has agreed a DVD licensing and distribution deal with ILC Media for the release of the club’s 2007/08 Season Review and UEFA Cup challenge. Having already claimed the League Cup title, and with places booked in the finals of both the UEFA Cup and Scottish Cup, Rangers could still win an unprecedented Quadruple.

Set to be two of the biggest DVD releases in Rangers history, ILC Media is keen to utilise its experience as the UK’s leading sports genre specialist to maximise the potential of the products, with Business Manager Claire Fitzgerald stating

“Rangers are one of the biggest clubs in Europe and we are ecstatic that we have the opportunity to work together in such an exciting season. We have vast experience in the market and are confident that we can achieve outstanding results for the club.”

Huge anticipation surrounds the club this season as Rangers compete in the UEFA Cup Final for the first time in their history, and have the opportunity to be the first Scottish side to claim the trophy. With the League Cup victory already secured, the prospect of winning four major trophies in one season is tantalisingly within reach and with such huge support for the Glasgow team, DVD sales are expected to do extremely well.

Speaking of the agreement Stuart Cain, Rangers Commercial Manager, said

“Whatever happens over the next few weeks, this has been a remarkable season and we’re looking forward to working with ILC Media to deliver great DVD’s to the widest audience possible.“

The new agreement sees ILC Media strengthen its portfolio, which already includes licensing agreements with Chelsea FC, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, and the Football Association.
