ILC Media Repositions Fitness on the Schedule
With the traditional release date for fitness titles falling in the winter months, ILC Media has repositioned its latest release in the genre to appeal to consumers wishing to tone up before the summer.
The Beach Bum Workout DVD is a concept that will provide its target market, of women aged 18-35, with a helping hand towards getting the perfect body for the beach by guiding users through the process of toning up those all important trouble zones in a regime designed specifically for the purpose of getting ready to shed the layers!
Recognising a gap in the market ILC Media Sales Director Andrew Palmer stated
“The New Year market is saturated with fitness content, yet in pre-summer, when people are thinking about getting toned up for holidays and baring a little more skin there is very little fresh content to offer the consumer.”
Designed for different fitness levels, the workout incorporates a series of routines to help lose fat and sculpt curves through an effective mix of calorie-burning cardio exercises, conditioning, and a healthy eating plan. Targeting the key areas of the body, the routine will ensure that not only the bum, but also the legs, tum, and arms are ready to be bared. Helping to further boost confidence and ensure that women get the most from the DVD, the ‘Suits You’ chapter gives advice about the best swimming costume for different body shapes.
ILC Media has developed marketing partnerships with national gym chain LA Fitness and tour operator Thomas Cook to provide support for the DVD release. Consumers purchasing the DVD will be entitled to a free 3 day guest membership at any one of its nationwide sites worth £30.
Additionally, Thomas Cook will be providing a number of short haul and long haul beach themed holidays, under their Airtours brand, for use with media and product promotions.

The Beach Bum Workout DVD, set for release on 19th May 2008, is the only workout designed to help women achieve a toned physique with the specific purpose of getting ready for the summer.
With a realistic claim to help the user shed pounds, and tone up in as little as four weeks, it appears that it is never too late to take action and tone up ready to wow them on the beaches.
Marketing activity for the title includes TV, targeted Consumer Print, and Online advertising, as well as mobile direct marketing.
